Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

Very Good Tacos, they have good flavor, and are delicious

Incredible, authentic mexican food. Do yourself a favor and order the cabeza tacos - you won't regret it!

Pleasantly surprised by the $2 fish and shrimp tacos. They were quite good, although lacking on fish and shrimp. I was concerned this place didn't have a bathroom, but it won't stop me from coming back for more. One of the best places in Grants Pass for Mexican food. Easily.

what WAS this place, an old Fosters Freeze? It doesn't really matter, what it is NOW is home to the best Tamales in town. Grants Pass is not lacking for Mexican options, and while this is definitely not a sit down place (and you'll want to keep an eye on junior so he won't step off the curb while you order) it is worth the line, the cars driving by and yes, the strange new outdoor seating recently added does help a little. Fast, cheap, authentic, awesome food.

Yummy! Just had a Carne Asada taco and a Lupitas style carnitas taco. Both fabulous. Very authentic, fresh, and quick. I was shorted a taco in my order but despite that I will be back. Best authentic mexican food in town hands down.

Good burrito for a fair price. Carnitas could have used slightly more flavor, but I'm not complaining. Would come again.

Great authentic Mexican food. Make it a point to stop here from San Diego! We like the hard shell tacos. All 3 kinds are good. A father and young son run it. Worth the short drive off the 5

Best Mexican food by far in Grants Pass. I've had a hard time finding good al pastor since moving here over 20 years ago from California. They have it! Wish they had a full service restaurant.

Very nice small restaurant. Exclusively outdoor seating. Tacos were very good. Especially the fish taco.beans have a nice smoky flavor. Liked the pickled vegetables as a condiment

Authentic Mexican food at an affordable price. A great place for a quick take-out lunch.

Moved here a month ago and have eaten there twice a week. Delicious! Fast, friendly service. Love the "dining room" addition so there is a place to eat. Tacos, quesadillas, burritos are super good.

Best carnitas in the valley!

Best tacos in town. Great value, well run, consistent.

I went here last week and had a chicken burrito, lots of chicken, beans and rice.....chicken was lean, moist, really fresh. In the future I will ask for it spicy, it wasn't spicy enough for my tastes, but I can always add hot sauce. Serving size was VERY generous, and an excellent value. So far here in southern Oregon, the only issue I've had with any Mexican food is a little too much restraint with seasonings, all the places I've tried seem to be serving good quality, fresh food.

The fish taco was good but the pastor burrito was horrible. Tasted like it had BBQ sauce on it. Service was slow too. I won't be returning here.

I've been to Lupita's about 4 times now and it is hands down the best taco place in Grants Pass. No inside seating but it's still the best place to go. Now that it's winter I'll get them to go.

Lupita and her small staff are very friendly and the food is top notch! It's the only place to go in Grants Pass if you want authentic (and delicious) tacos. All the ingredients are fresh and made to order. No where to sit down and eat, but I couldn't expect that from such a small restaurant.

This place is great on the taste buds and on the wallet. Taco's here are good...including the fish tacos. They are in the authentic style, are packed with filling and can often be made into 2 seperate tacos. Burritos are pretty good too...they don't skimp you on the meat. You get way better deals and tastes at this walk-up take-out window than any other mexican place in GP. Lupita is very friendly also.
